NARP NW Division 2017 Annual Meeting & Advocacy Workshop

The annual spring rail advocacy conference for the Northwest.  This year all activity will be in a spacious meeting facility on the third floor of Portland’s historic Union Station.  Step off your Amtrak train, walk a few steps to the elevator next to Baggage Claim, and be whisked to the gathering.  Speakers include former NARP Chair Bob Stewart, Washington DOT Operations Program Manager Jason Biggs, and many others.  Suggested donation of $20 includes catered box lunch.  Reserve your spot now by one of the following:  a) send a check for $20 payable to “AORTA” to: AORTA, PO Box 2772, Portland, OR 97208-2772., or b) use the “Donate or Buy a Gift” feature to make a $20 payment (please enter ‘NARP meeting’ under Special Instructions if using your PayPal account), or c) send an email specifying the names of attendees to:  .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)

Details:

The Conference, which is sponsored by the Rail Users’ Network, All Aboard Washington, and AORTA  will examine what’s happening in the Pacific Northwest regarding passenger rail and rail transit issues. The focus will be on recent success stories, which projects are moving forward, and which are standing still and could use some help. We will also examine what rail advocates are doing in other parts of the country to promote and expand passenger rail.
Registration for the Conference is $55 (until March 31), $60 after that, and $65 at the door, and includes morning refreshments, lunch, an afternoon refreshment break, and all conference materials/handouts.
